Game Of Thrones: Three More Seasons But Yes, Jon Snow Is Dead. Yes, Dead

Kit Harrington's long locks may still be living large, but Jon Snow is dead. Most definitely and assuredly dead, according to an HBO executive. Bad news for all Jon Snow-shippers who have still been holding out hope that their favorite bastard could still be making a comeback after his Julius Caesar-style execution on the season 5 finale of Game of Thrones.

However, there is still good news to be had. The immensely popular fantasy series has been renewed for at least another two seasons, with season six already in production.

According to Michael Lombardo, a network executive, he foresees the series to continue for at least three more years. But Jon Snow may not be part of those plans.

"Dead is dead is dead. He be dead. Yes. Everything I've seen, heard and read, he is dead," he told the Television Critics Association in Beverly Hills on Thursday.

"I'm always hoping they're going to change their minds, but I think that's what we're looking at right now," he added.

Despite this insider information from a network higher up, fans are still holding on to any bit of hope they can, pointing out the fact that actor, Kit Harrington, still has not cut his hair, has been spotted in Belfast, where the show films many of its scenes, and therefore may still be under contract with the show.

Fans of both the books and the television series are still also holding on to their theories that although Jon Snow may indeed be dead for the time being, no one connected to the show has either confirmed or denied that he would remain in his not alive state.

The Red Witch at Castle Black, and the White Walkers on the other side of the Wall, as well as some other magic and bloodline related theories could still be thrown into the mix in order to bring the ill-fated Snow back to life.
