Kit Harrington was spotted in Belfast recently, the same place where Game of Thrones season 6 is being shot. The big question is: does this prove that Jon Snow is alive?
Many fans have concluded that this is definite proof of Jon Snow surviving what the Men of the Night Watch did to him — the betrayal that left him in a pool of blood as his life slowly slips away.
Interestingly enough, the producers, at one point, claimed that Jon Snow was not set to appear in season 6 of Game of Thrones, so it is quite surprising to realize that actor, Kit Harrington, has chosen to take a visit to Belfast at a time like this, so what could be the case for this?
He could just be visiting:
Kit Harrington has been a longtime member of the Game of Thrones cast since the first episode, so one would expect that he would have a connection with some of the cast members and creators of the show. This could be one of the reasons why he is visiting.
He's there to get fans excited for season 6:
It is possible that Harrington is only there to start a new discussion among fans and to get them excited for season 6 of Game of Thrones. People will watch the show regardless if he went to Belfast or not, but his being there might just increase anticipation.
He's there to film flashback scenes:
We've heard several times before that a certain aspect of the book will be shot in Belfast. This scene is set in the past, and if true, it would be the first time Game of Thrones would show something that happened in the past.
Chances are, this particular scene could involve Jon Snow in some ways and may even prove that the character died but was ultimately brought back to life by a certain witch who dresses in red.
At the end of the day though, there is definitely something going down with Kit Harrington in Belfast. There's no need to get the fans excited then shoot them down like a duck. Who knows, he may end up playing a bigger role in season 6 than just a possible flashback scene.
