'Kung Pow: Enter the Fist' Is Getting A Sequel

Do you remember the movie Kung Pow: Enter the Fist? Neither do we, but according to comedian Steve Oederkerk, who starred in the 2002 send-up of kung fu films, we're going be served some more of the same in an upcoming sequel.

In the vein of movies like Woody Allen's dubbed What's Up, Tiger Lily?, Kung Pow took footage from existing kung fu films (more pointedly, the movie Tiger and Crane), and mashed that with scenes featuring Oederkerk and other characters, creating a (very, very) different new story line.

Oederkerk announced the news on July 19 at DragonFest, a martial arts convention hosted by the Martial Arts History Museum in Burbank, California.

As of now, Oederkerk – whose writing credits include 90s comedies like Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls and The Nutty Professor – doesn't have much of an idea what the sequel will entail. That's okay: it'll give us plenty of time to watch the first installment — or re-watch it? Yeah, we'll get back to you.
