For Fargo's second season, the FX darling is rewinding the action to the late '70s, when two powerful crime families went to war in the American Midwest.
And yes, that means what you think it does. Sorry, Fargo fans — no actors from Season 1 are returning for season 2. But that doesn't mean it's going to be any less compelling.
For starters, there's the cast, which includes big screen actors like Kirsten Dunst, Patrick Wilson and Kieran Culkin along with a plethora of stars remembered for their TV comedy talents, starring in Fargo in heavy, dramatic roles. (Well, as heavy as a pitch-black comedy can be.)
Brad Garrett (Everybody Loves Raymond) is a mob enforcer, Jean Smart (Designing Women) is a steely mob boss and an unrecognizable Ted Danson (Cheers) is the local sheriff. Nick Offerman (Parks & Recreation) is in it, as are Bokeem Woodbine (Saving Grace, Riddick) and Jesse Plemons, aka Todd from Breaking Bad.
Oh, and Bruce Campbell shows up as none other than Ronald Reagan. No, seriously.
A trailer has been released by FX for season 2: here's your first look.
Looks like good, kooky Midwestern fun to us. What do you think?
