Necalli Enters World Of 'Street Fighter V' [Video]

A new character is set to join the cast of the much-awaited impending game Street Fighter V. Meet Necalli.

Capcom unveiled Necalli in a trailer at the Evolution Championship Series (EVO 2015) over the weekend. If he looks a tad familiar to you then it's because you spotted him when Ken was revealed - at the trailer's end.

The PlayStation Blog gave some insights into the character with a mysterious background who packs in a unique "animalistic fighting style" to overpower his rivals.

"All of his attacks have been forged through the heat of battle to inflict maximum pain upon his opponents. However, beneath the surface of the crazed warrior lies a hidden genius that is unleashed upon V-Trigger activation," revealed Peter Rosas, Capcom's community manager.

Rosas also divulged that gamers who prefer characters who are hard hitting and straight forward will take a shine to Necalli. Why? Since he has a plethora of close range and unrestrained attacks up his sleeve. Necalli even touts a command grab. All of his moves are directed at vanquishing his enemies and beating them to a pulp!

The new character's fighting style is quite attacking and will see Necalli not only pound the ground and lash out at enemies, but also a neat V-Trigger move. Wondering what this move is all about? V-Trigger mover alters Necalli's appearance majorly and converts his long locks a bright shade of red as they swish around in a gravity-defying manner.

The move will also give gamers access to new frame data, combos and critical art as Necalli channels the "mysterious energy" which alters his personality for a short span.

Come July 23, Street Fighter V beta will begin for PS4 at 6 p.m. PT. The beta version will have six characters, but will launch with four which include Ken, Necalli, Birdie and Cammy (these two join later).

Gamers will also have the opportunity to earn DLC for Street Fighter V for free by playing it. The game will launch in March 2016 for PC and PS4.
