For a video game to reach a decade and still have a growing following is an epic feat on its own.
To celebrate 10 years of larger-than-life gameplay, Sony Santa Monica proudly released God of War III Remastered. Now, PS4 players can enjoy reliving the adventures and battles of its lead character Kratos in better visual quality.
Fans of God of War III can expect a 1080p, 60 fps vibrant and sharp rendering of the world they have come to know and love. Players can now see Kratos' every move in detail, from the way his fiery blades swing in motion and cut through his enemies to his ballet-like maneuvers to escape sudden death.
Though the remastered edition of the game does not offer any new gameplay features to explore and test out, Sony did add a photo mode feature that allows players to capture exciting and memorable gameplays that can be saved and shared online with other players.
For those who haven't played God of War II, take note, God of War III will be a challenge to play as the story takes off right after the ending of God of War II. If you are a Spartan who likes to face unknown challenges, maneuvering through an unfamiliar world is just part of the adventure.
For those familiar with the storyline, you can reassume the role of Kratos as he continues on a journey of vengeance against the Titan Gaia and the Olympian Gods. This time, players get to experience all the gory scenes and actions in full HD detail.
As an additional treat, Sony teamed up with the creative production company iam8bit to create movie posters based on God of War I, II and III by artists Jim Rugg, Doaly and Nimit Malavia. Now, diehard fans can display this epic game on their walls with Spartan pride.
God of War III Remastered for PS4 is exclusively available through the PlayStation Network
