Sorry Xbox 360, PS3 Users: Future 'Dragon Age: Inquisition' DLC Will Be For PS4, Xbox One, PC Only

BioWare revealed that future downloadable content for the highly popular Dragon Age: Inquisition will only be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, abandoning support for previous-gen consoles PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The announcement is a part of the information revealed when BioWare unveiled the Save Importer tool for Dragon Age: Inquisition.

The Save Importer tool will allow players to migrate the save files of the title located within a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 system to the newer console for their respective brands.

The tool was created by BioWare for Dragon Age: Inquisition due to the company's decision to release all future DLC for the title for the current-gen consoles and PC only. The Save Importer Tool will allow players to continue games that they started on a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 and continue them on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One without having to restart everything from the beginning.

Previous DLCs for the title, including the Spoils of the Avvar and the Jaws of Hakkon, can be downloaded for free on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One if the player bought the pack using their PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360. Promotional items will also be carried over upon the migration of saves by the gamer.

According to BioWare, the Save Importer tool will be included in the upcoming July update for the game, which will be Patch 8 for Dragon Age: Inquisition.

BioWare discussed in detail how players can migrate their saved games from previous-generation consoles to current-generation consoles along with the announcement of the Save Importer tool. To ensure that save files do not get corrupted, it is important that players follow the instructions carefully.

The world of Thedas that BioWare developed with Dragon Age: Inquisition is an expansive one, and players could now take their journey across two consoles just to explore what the title has in store for them.

The game covers a large portion of Thedas, but there are still certain regions that are unexplored within Dragon Age: Inquisition. As such, fans of the title should look forward to Dragon Age: Magekiller, a comic that will be released by comic book publisher Dark Horse this winter that will allow gamers to take a look at the capitol city of ancient and powerful Tevinter Imperium.

The comic will also reveal that state of Thedas after the events in Dragon Age: Inquisition, with the comic's first arc running alongside the events in the game and then continuing into a new timeline after that.
