'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare' trailer and screenshots are out. What to expect

Activision has released the first trailer for its new title 'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare' to a lot of fanfare as fans try their best to cling on to something that might one day take the bad taste of Call of Duty: Ghost from their mouths.

'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare' is clearly a game that is set in the future. The trailer shows soldier in what appears to be exosuits, which reminds us a lot of Elysium, the hit blockbuster movie starring Matt Damon. The trailer also shows the exosuit allowing soldiers to jump great distances, which makes us wonder if Activision took some ideas from Titanfall.

The trailer in itself looks wonderful, something we've come to expect from every Call of Duty game reveal. However, what really sold this trailer was the one and only Kevin Spacey. Yes, Kevin Spacey will appear in 'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare' and from the looks of things, he's likely the villain, a person who might be looking to cause wars around the world to put himself in power.

The trailer is filled with action, and Activision seems quite proud of their graphic engine. Since several scenes have the camera, zooming in on character faces shows all the wrinkles and facial expressions. From the looks of it, this might be the best look of Call of Duty game yet, but that won't matter if the game fails in multiplayer and single player; which were the reasons why Ghost didn't live up to expectations.

From what we've come to understand, the game has been in development for 3 years by Sledgehammer and is set to release on November 4 of this year. Furthermore, this trailer was shown running on the Xbox One, which could mean all DLCs will come first to that console.

To be honest, we're excited about 'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare' because it appears to be bringing something new to the series, and we all know how much this is needed. Still, a pretty trailer will not be enough to get gamers ready and willing to throw down their hard-earned cash after the disappointment that is Ghost.

At the end of the day, Activision has no other option but to come good with Advanced Warfare, because if future Titanfall titles continue to elicit great reviews, then we might a see a change of the guard before this generation is done.

You can pre-order the game right now.
