The LG G4 has just launched in the United States, but there is already a great deal on eBay for an unlocked version of the device.
The eBay listing shows a 32GB variant of the LG G4 smartphone up for sale at a price of only $499.99, which is cheaper by about $100 compared to other retail stores.
It should be noted, however, that the LG G4 up for sale on eBay is the European version of the device, specifically model H815, and is intended to be used in Europe alone.
The smartphone is not useless because of that fact though, as the device carries most of the cellular bands that users would need to use the LG G4 properly in North America. The smartphone packs HSPA support for both AT&T and T-Mobile in areas where the 1900MHz band is required. In addition, the smartphone should be able to work on the LTE networks of the two aforementioned carriers.
The smartphones being sold are not compatible with the newer LTE bands of T-Mobile, but it will support the main AWS band.
In addition, the H815 variant is currently the only one that is supported by the official bootloader unlocker tool released by LG. This means that users can install a customer recovery on the LG G4 version being sold on eBay to prepare to eventually flash ROMs into the device as they are released.
The LG G4 smartphones being sold for $499.99 are brand new and still in their retail packaging. The smartphone will come with a wall charger for European markets, but it will also come with an adapter to be able to use the charger in the United States.
Shipping for customers that purchase the device is free, with a 14 day money-back guarantee for returns.
The seller of the smartphone listed that there is only a limited quantity of the smartphones available, with 98 units of the LG G4 already at the time of writing.
Users have reported that there are some issues with the touchscreen of the device, but LG has already released an update to fix the problem.
The update, however, is not an over-the-air update but rather an update to the LG Keyboard through LG Apps.
