Dear Internet, Here's Jaden Smith's Explanation About That Batman Costume At Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Wedding

From his cryptic words of wisdom on his Twitter feed, to his being named "King of Coachella Style" for wearing a comfy floral dress to the outdoor music festival, Jaden Smith sure knows how to make an impression.

At the wedding of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West in Florence, Italy, Jaden turned heads when he attended the celebrity-filled affair wearing a white-out version of the Batsuit - an outfit which he had no qualms about doing a fashion faux pas by recycling it for his high school prom.

But why did he don the caped crusader costume to the nuptials of one of his own self-confessed style icons? Jaden finally lets the bat out of the bag in his interview with GQ Magazine where he was included in the "Most Stylish Men Alive" list.

"I wore the Batman suit to heighten my experience at the wedding and prom which was fun. But also at the wedding I felt as though I needed to protect everyone there and needed to have the proper gear to do so," he said.

We sure hope he had an actual working bat-utility belt with that costume in case he really did need to use his protection skills during the Kimye wedding.

The young rapper and actor, who is being called a "new Male Madonna" for his daring fashion choices, also said that, aside from Kanye West, his biggest style icon influences are Batman, Robin, Nightwing and Superman.

He explains in the interview that dressing up as super heroes was always a game he loved to do as a child. And donning a cape has some powerful positive psychological effects on him as well.

"I'm just expressing how I feel inside. Which is really no particular way because everyday it changes how I feel about the world and myself, but I like wearing super drapey things so I can feel as though I'm a super hero, but don't have to necessarily wear superhero costumes everyday," he explained.
