Scott Eastwood and Common have been cast in the Suicide Squad movie for quite some time now, but fans have been left in the dark about the characters they might play.
As it stands, it is possible we may have just found out.
Umberto Gonzalez from Heroic Hollywood claims that Common will play the Tattooed Man. This should have been clear to anyone since Common was spotted on set with tattoos all over his body; some of which looked similar to the comic book character's.
The Tattooed Man is a villain and sometimes an anti-hero who can control the tattoos on his body to do his bidding. He's not one of the most powerful villains in the DC Universe, but he is capable of going up against Green Lantern.
As for Eastwood, the publication reports the actor is indeed Slade Wilson, the one and only Deathstroke.
While we firmly believe Common is the Tattooed Man, we can't say the same about Eastwood being Deathstroke, which is mainly due to his age. In the comics and other media, Deathstroke is a man who is as old as, if not older than, Batman.
Maybe director David Ayer has chosen to mix things up a little bit, so for now we would rather wait for an official confirmation from him, instead of putting too much faith in this rumor.
We wouldn't mind Deathstroke being in Suicide Squad because he's a physically and mentally powerful character. He doesn't have super powers by any means, but he's a skilled combatant who can go toe-to-toe with the Batman at any given time.
In some comic stories, he has increased strength and agility, which was caused by super-soldier experiments.
We're not certain if Ayer wants to go this route or make Deathstroke a naturally gifted fighter.
