And that's a wrap for Suicide Squad filming in the streets for everybody to see.
Director David Ayer announced on Twitter that filming in the streets of Toronto is complete. The team will now focus on shooting the rest of the movie outside the public's domain.
Ayer also stated that what fans have seen from various leaked images and photos are just a minor taste of what is to come. He made sure to tell fans that all the surprises are still locked away in a box, so folks will still be required to watch the movie to know the takes that will be used and the takes that end up on the cutting room floor.
"Well, we survived the streets," Ayer tweeted. "Time to go dark now. Remember, only the tiniest glimpse has been exposed. Our surprises are intact."
The leaked images and videos were huge, especially those of Batman, Harley Quinn, and the Joker. If Ayer is truly able to top what we have seen so far, then it is possible Warner Bros. could have a truly epic movie on its hands come Aug. 5, 2016.
For many DC fans, Suicide Squad is more anticipated than Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. This is because we've seen Batman and Superman on film several times before, but Suicide Squad is a different beast entirely. We have never seen the likes of Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Rick Flag, Enchantress, El Diablo, Killer Croc, Captain Boomerang, Slipknot, and Katana in films before.
Rumors also claim Dr. Hugo Strange and King Shark might show up as prisoners. IMDb has Ike Barinholtz as Strange and Raymond Olubawale as Shark.
Suicide Squad is also the first time fans will get to see Batman, the Joker, and Harley Quinn in the same movie. As much as Batman and Superman showing up in the same film is enormous, we find this more attractive.
Overall filming of Suicide Squad is expected to end in September, and from there the team will kick post-production into gear.
