E3 2015: First Six Superstars Revealed For 'WWE 2K16'

WWE 2K15 ushered in a new era and attitude of WWE video games.

Now, for WWE 2K16, World Wrestling Entertainment has tabbed and confirmed the first six superstars who will be added to the roster for the new video game, which is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, on Oct. 27.

The first confirmed superstars are: Daniel Bryan, the "Lunatic Fringe" Dean Ambrose, WWE World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins, Finn Balor from NXT, Bad News Barrett and diva Paige. The WWE named its first six superstars for the upcoming title during an E3 announcement on Tuesday and confirmed it on WWE.com.

It's important to mention that the game is poised to expand to the largest playable roster in WWE games history, but this is definitely a good group to start with. Not only does it represent the reigning WWE champ in Rollins, but Ambrose remains a top player and character in storylines, and Barrett's star power has only grown with a recent Intercontinental title reign and by being named 2015 King of the Ring.

Although Bryan continues to mend his injuries, nobody would ever argue his popularity among the WWE Universe, and Balor has some shine in NXT. That and it has to be special for Paige, considering she was the first and only diva to be selected from the first group of six.

Can't wait until the fall for this game!
