Japanese manufacturer Hori announced its new PlayStation 4 controller that looks a lot like a Xbox One controller.
Called the Horipad FPS Plus, it's the first third-party controller for the system to be equipped with a touchpad. The new feature is compatible with many games.
The placement of the left and right analog sticks has been moved to mirror the layout of the Xbox One controller, with the left analog stick to the upper right, the D-pad taking its place.
The analog stick calls for constant pressure from the gamer's finger, which helps improve aiming. Pressing the back button on the controller will allow for an even more precise aim thanks to three levels of stick sensitivity. For these reasons, this controller is perfect for first-person shooter games.
There are also added turbo features for the directional buttons, triggers, and face buttons, so that a one button press could initiate rapid-fire.
While these features are impressive, the new PS4 controller is also missing a few things, such as the port for connecting a headset, motion sensor, or the DualShock 4's light bar.
The controller comes in a metallic finish, and weighs 240 g (about 8. 5 ounces) with the cable, which has a length of 3 m (about 10 feet). It is also compatible with the PS3.
The Horipad FPS Plus will be available to purchase in Japan next month for 4,580 yen or $37, plus taxes.
