Talk about throwing your weight around.
New Jersey Watchdog is reporting that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie spent a total of $82,594 on concessions in 58 occurrences at MetLife Stadium over the course of the NFL's 2010 and 2011 seasons. Lord have mercy ... that's a lot of hot dogs, nachos and beer.
During his five years in office, Christie dipped into his state allowance for a reported $360,000. Upward of $300,000 from that amount was used to buy food, alcohol and desserts, according to the Watchdog's analysis of records released by the governor's office.
Let's say Christie attended every New York Giants and Jets home game during the 2010 and 2011 seasons, for a total of 32 games at MetLife Stadium. In 32 games, what in the world is this man devouring that racks up a bill of $82,594?
The disgusting part is that the governor receives $95,000 per year in expense advances paid by the state - so, as much as he consumed at MetLife, it was all covered and fell quite under his annual cap.
If Christie decides to run for president and has the nerve to ever tell Americans to tighten their belts, we'll definitely be bringing this report up.
We don't know what's worse — the near $83,000 spent on concessions or Christie jumping up and down as the fanboy of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones last season?
On second thought, we do know — it's the concessions.
