WWE Extreme Rules didn't disappoint on Sunday night. While most titles stayed firmly on the waists of the champions, the pay-per-view lived up to its extreme billing.
Take a look at some of the results.
Seth Rollins — With Help From Kane — Defends WWE Title in Steel Cage Match Win Over Randy Orton
Their run-in on RAW spilled into this WWE title steel cage match rather perfectly with both superstars taking it to each other. Kane's interference almost backfired, when the Tombstone he tried to apply on Orton was turned into an RKO. However, that bought enough time for Rollins to slither up behind Orton and apply an RKO of his own to the Viper. Rollins crawled out the cage to have his hand raised. To think that Orton hit Rollins with a Pedigree earlier in the match for nothing. Still, it was one hell of a match.
Roman Reigns Wins Last Man Standing Match Against Big Show
Roman Reigns took every bit of abuse that the Big Show dished out to him. Even Show chokeslamming him through two tables outside of the ring wasn't enough to keep Reigns down. Battered and bruised, he kept getting up and fighting his larger opponent back. At the end, Reigns used an unbelievable spear — from one announce table through another — to make sure Show's night was over. Extreme indeed.
John Cena Edges Rusev in Russian Chain Match For U.S. Title
The highlight in this match was Rusev locking in The Accolade on John Cena, but Cena still managing to stand up off the mat — with Rusev on his back — and tag the turnbuckles. One problem: Rusev was being credited for it and Cena quickly realized that, using the chain to pull him into the middle and nail the Attitude Adjustment. Cena then touched the fourth corner and successfully defended his U.S. title in the brutal, ultra-physical match.
New Day Takes Tag Team Titles From Cesaro and Tyson Kidd
Cesaro once again showed flashes of his superhuman strength, but it wasn't enough for him and Tyson Kidd to keep the straps around their waists. New Day are your new tag champs.
Dolph Ziggler Scores Win Over Sheamus
Dolph Ziggler worked the ring like a pro — as he usually does — both asserting himself and selling the barbarian-like brutality of Sheamus to perfection in this "Kiss Me Arse" match. The highlight in this one came after Ziggler scored the win, but Sheamus refused to kiss his arse as the bout stipulated. Instead he proceeded to thrash Ziggler and walk out the ring. Sore loser! Tell em, Lilian!
Nikki Bella Defends Divas Title Against Naomi
Winner ... and still Divas champ, Nikka Bella. And her streak continues.
Dean Ambrose Defeats Luke Harper in Wild Chicago Street Fight
This Chicago Street fight was everything it was cracked up to being and more. Billed a Chicago Street Fight, it wasn't long before several chairs made their way into the ring, and get this ... Harper actually sped off in an SUV with Ambrose's legs dangling from the window. When the match resumed later in the pay-per-view, Ambrose dumped a bunch of those chairs on top of Harper and nailed the Dirty Deeds for the win. Insane match!
Neville Defeats Bad News Barrett
Making his WWE pay-per-view debut, Neville didn't disappoint. The high-flying sensation defeated a game Bad News Barrett via the Red Arrow. The push that the WWE is giving Neville is clear. Let's see if he can continue to gain momentum now.
