Stephen Curry is so good it hurts ... especially if you're the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Golden State Warriors' All-Star point guard and leading MVP candidate dropped 40 points, setting off absolute fireworks with seven three-pointers, to lead his team to a 123-119 overtime victory and 3-0 series lead on Thursday night.
Curry also managed to dish nine assists as part of his spectacular performance.
Warning: Watching this shooting display may cause dizziness and numb your mind. Definitely not for the faint of heart.
Not to be outdone was Derrick Rose. Plagued by knee injuries over the past few seasons, Rose looked every bit in 2011 NBA MVP form, shooting 12-of-23 from the field, including five three-pointers, for 34 points to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 113-106 double-overtime win over the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bulls, too, now own a 3-0 series lead. The best part of Rose's performance was watching him attack the hoop on hard drives that he finished with circus-like moves only he can perform. See for yourself.
Rose's performance is a great sign for the No. 3 Bulls, who seem to be on a collision course with the second-seed Cleveland Cavaliers for what should be a terrific second-round matchup. With the pesky seventh-seed Boston Celtics hanging around, LeBron James absolutely took over Game 3, finishing with 31 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Cavs to a 103-95 win and a 3-0 series edge of their own.
