All 'Batman: Arkham Knight' DLC Is A Timed PlayStation Exclusive

It seems like Rocksteady Games is a big fan of Sony's new machine. First, PlayStation owners will get a chance to get their hands on a sweet, custom-made Arkham Knight PS4 console; now, according to the game's Amazon page, Arkham Knight's downloadable content will be a timed exclusive for Sony's latest console.

Basically, if you can get Arkham Knight on either next-gen console: go with the PlayStation 4.

The below picture appears on the Amazon listing for the Limited Edition Arkham Knight PS4 console, and it details the first few pieces of content gamers can expect after the game's release.

It's nothing that will rock gamers' expectations, but it does confirm that the DLC will hit the PlayStation 4 before the Xbox One - and it could be enough incentive for some players to pick up the game on Sony's console rather than the competition's.

The DLC itself is relatively standard: Batman himself gets the Justice League 3000 and 'Classic TV Series' costumes, while the Batmobile gets the 'Classic TV' skin (though it's hard to see much of a difference in the picture outside of the red bat logo).

The obvious stand-out of the package are the Scarecrow Nightmare missions - while there's no telling what will be included in these DLC missions, anyone who's played through Arkham Asylum knows just how crazy Scarecrow levels have been in the past...

At this point, it's clear that the PlayStation 4 is the place to go for Batman: Arkham Knight. That's not to say that the Xbox One version will be inferior in any way - it's just that Sony fans are getting all of the extra goodies first. Between the custom PS4 console and getting the game's DLC early, it just makes sense to go with the PlayStation version of Arkham Knight.

Unfortunately, there's still a bit of a wait left before anyone can get their hands on any of it - Batman: Arkham Knight is scheduled to hit store shelves on June 23.
