It's the end of the month, and that means it is time to see which free games will be coming next to PlayStation and Xbox. For PlayStation Plus subscribers that means six new titles are going free until the end of April.
Two games are going free for each of Sony's consoles. Headlining April's free game offerings is Arkane's stealth title Dishonored for PlayStation 3. Players in Dishonored will become assassin Corvo Attano as he uses his powerful magical abilities to seek revenge.
Though a little old at this point, Dishonored made a big splash when it originally released in 2012 and is more than worth checking out. Also available free on PS3 this month is indie platformer Aaru's Awakening. The game can also be downloaded on PlayStation 4.
Moving on to the PS4 side, players will have the opportunity to snag the completely over the top arcade shooter Tower of Guns for free. If you've ever played Serious Sam, you likely know the kind of insane action to expect here. Sony's other PS4 selection is on the complete opposite end of the game spectrum with Never Alone. A beautiful puzzle title inspired by native Alaskan folklore, it's great to see the game brought to such a large audience.
If you are playing on the PS Vita you have two new options to choose from. Killzone Mercenary is going free, as is MonsterBag, a title that stars a bag-shaped monster who must try to reunite with his friend without scaring everybody he encounters.
A solid selection of titles to be sure. There is something for everyone here. From crazy shooters to emotional indie platformers, PlayStation gamers should have plenty to keep them occupied in the month of April.
