LG has sent out invites for a press event scheduled for April 24. The company is expected to unveil its new flagship LG G4 and a leaked image shows the device with an S Pen-like stylus in tow.
Samsung and HTC are just about to release their 2015 flagship smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will be released on April 10 and are currently available for preorder on Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile.
Amazon has just launched its preorders and is also offering unlocked versions of both Samsung flagship smartphones.
Additionally, all of the major carriers are also offering HTC's latest and greatest One M9 smartphone, which will also be released on April 10.
While Samsung and HTC have been dominating headlines with the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge and the One M9 respectively, LG has been pretty quiet ever since it launched its G Flex 2 phablet at CES. Things are about to change, however, as the company has just sent out press invites for an event that is scheduled for April 24.
LG is widely believed to be using the event to launch the successor to its LG G3, the LG G4. An image of what is reportedly LG's upcoming flagship G4 has leaked, and just like Samsung's popular Galaxy Note phablet series, it appears that LG could be planning to differentiate the G4 from the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, and from the HTC One M9 by including an advanced stylus with the handset.
The LG G4 is expected to launch with a 5.3-inch 2560 by 1440 quad-HD display, 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 3 GB of RAM, and high-end 16 megapixel rear camera.
It's always best to take these rumors with a huge grain of salt. We'll keep you posted on any new LG G4 information as it becomes available.
