Get Hyped For The 'Batman: Arkham Knight' Cinematic TV Spot

It's understandable that Batman: Arkham Knight has been riding an unprecedented wave of hype - it's the final game in Rocksteady's Arkham trilogy - but what's surprising is how much fans have gotten to see.

Usually, a development studio's momentum slows down a bit before release, but that's just not the case with Rocksteady: fans have seen a constant stream of content, whether it's gameplay footage, screenshots, or story trailers for Arkham Knight.

Even now, with just three months left before release, Rocksteady is still putting out new trailers. The Cinematic TV Spot just launched, and while it's shorter than other trailers, that doesn't mean it's any less intense:

Since the game was first announced, fans have seen a lot of footage: Batman flying around the city, taking down thugs, driving the Batmobile...but there's been a surprising lack of Bruce Wayne in any of the footage. The Cinematic Spot fixes that, and while it's brief, it offers the best look at Arkham Knight's Bruce Wayne. Of course, there's plenty of other stuff in there: more explosions, more villains and a lot more of the Batmobile are all present in the trailer. Sure, it's only 30 seconds long, but Rocksteady fit a lot in there for those who take a closer look.

Surprisingly, there's no mention of Scarecrow or the Arkham Knight anywhere in the trailer. Two-Face, the Penguin and Harley Quinn all make appearances, but it's strange that Rocksteady didn't include the game's two main antagonists - even for a brief moment. Not that it's a bad thing - there's already a lot to look at in the short trailer - but it's a strange choice nonetheless.

With three months left to go before release, the wait for Batman: Arkham Knight is excruciating...why can't it just be June already?

Batman: Arkham Knight is set to hit next-gen consoles on June 2.
