HTC just unveiled its new flagship smartphone, the HTC One M9 at Mobile World Congress. In addition, details and images regarding its unannounced HTC One E9 have just leaked.
At this year's Mobile World Congress, two of the biggest smartphone players unveiled their latest and greatest flagship handsets. Samsung launched two brand-new devices; the Quad HD Galaxy S6 and dual-edge display Galaxy S6 Edge, which was also awarded "Best New Handset, Tablet or Device" moniker at the show.
HTC also announced its next generation HTC One M9, which is a follow up to last year's very popular HTC One M8. The smartphone uses the same, sleek unibody metal case and similar 5-inch Full HD display found on its predecessor. If you're an HTC smartphone fan who was hoping for a larger and higher resolution display, you're in luck, as images and details of what is reportedly the HTC One E9 have just leaked.
According to a new report, the HTC One E9 has leaked on Chinese regulatory authority Tenna. The smartphone is listed by its model number, HTC E9pw, and is packing a 5.5-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad HD display. HTC is reportedly using a top-of-the-line Mediatek MT6795 processor and healthy 3 GB of RAM to power its upcoming phablet. It will ship with 32 GB of internal storage and users will be able to increase its storage via a microSD expansion slot. Its camera capabilities are expected to include a 20-megapixel rear camera and either a 13-megapixel or 4-megapixel UltraPixel front-facing shooter like the HTC One M9.
The HTC One E9 will run Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box and HTC Sense 7. It will include a 2,800 mAh battery and its dimensions are listed as 156.5 x 76.5 x 7.5mm.
