Samsung Galaxy S6 vs. Apple iPhone 6: Leaked Image Compares Smartphone Design Details Ahead of Release

Samsung is taking a dual-pronged approach to battle Apple's iPhone 6 smartphone. If a new leaked image is legit, Samsung is also taking serious design inspiration from its biggest rival.

Samsung has been having a very busy February leading up to its March 1 press event to kick off Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona. The company has begun its massive Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its Galaxy Note phablet series and it has released the OTA update to current Galaxy S5 owners on Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile. Owners of some older Galaxy smartphones are in store for a sweet taste of Lollipop in the near future as well.

Details recently leaked that Samsung was planning a follow up to last year's flagship Galaxy Tab S tablets when the Galaxy Tab S2 showed up on an online benchmarking site, revealing the 9.7-inch tablet's specs. The display of the tablet is a departure from last year's 10.5-inches and its new size matches Apple's iPad Air 2 in terms of size and resolution.

New reportedly leaked images of the Samsung Galaxy S6 show it compared up close and personal to Apple's iPhone 6. The image shows a silver iPhone 6's bottom compared to a gold Samsung Galaxy S6's bottom. The images were posted to the Twitter feed of Steve Hemmerstoffer, who happens to be the Editor of a popular site that has a good track record of leaking upcoming Apple and other devices. He posted the message, "No comment... #Samsung #Apple #Copycat"

As you can see from the above image, and if the device shown is actually a Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung isn't doing itself any favors in attempting to stop the constant reports that it is copying Apple.

As always, it's best to take rumors of upcoming and highly anticipated device leaks with a grain of salt for now. We'll be exclusively covering Mobile World Congress 2015 and will bring you all the latest news.
