Samsung Galaxy S6: First Live Images Show Ultrathin Metal And Glass Design Ahead Of Launch

HTC recently saw the smartphone it plans to unveil on March 1 leak online. Samsung and its upcoming Galaxy S6 have just experienced a similar leak, reportedly in the form of an AT&T Galaxy S6.

Smartphone fans will finally get to see what HTC and Samsung have up their sleeves as they both kick off Mobile World Congress with press events on March 1.

We just reported that official HTC One M9 promotional videos got leaked online, giving the world a tour of the smartphone's design and new features before HTC ever intended.

If a new report is to be believed, Samsung has just experienced a similar fate with its upcoming, flagship Galaxy S6, which it also plans to launch at a press event on March 1. The company will actually unveil two new smartphones, the Galaxy S6 and curved display Galaxy S6 Edge.

A user on XDA Forums posted what he claims is an AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6 or prototype and confirms it has a glass front and rear and a metal frame, lining up with previous reported information about the smartphone.

The images of what is reported an AT&T Galaxy S6 show the smartphone has an ultrathin design and a larger physical home screen button that will house a more Apple-like Touch ID for Samsung's 2015 flagship smartphone. The rear shows what appears to be a glass panel with a protruding camera, flash and heart rate sensor.

Samsung is also expected to use a bright and crisp Quad HD Super AMOLED display and build wireless charging into both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. We'll know the full details on March 1, and we'll be covering the event and reporting back.
