The artificial intelligence offers from Amazon are expanding, and now, the company is focused on giving improved experiences to users of its Nova Reel platform for AI video generation. Amazon is doubling the maximum duration of the AI-generated videos that Nova Reel can produce as it can now deliver up to two-minute-long clips to users as instructed.

On the other hand, Amazon also doubled down on the release of Nova Reel's latest version with new features and upgrades to the experience, with the "Multi-shot" experience also expanding its capabilities.

Amazon Nova Reel Can Output Up to 2 Mins. Max Video

The latest blog post from Amazon's AWS developer advocate, Elizabeth Fuentes, unveiled Nova Reel's latest capabilities, with its upgrade to version 1.1 capable of offering twice the length of its AI-generated videos.

The previous maximum length duration of what Nova Reels could generate is only one minute.

Amazon's Nova Reel New Features: Multi-Shot

However, apart from extending its duration, Amazon also cooked up several new features to enjoy with Nova Reel 1.1 and it centers on the "multi-shot" videos which it can generate for users.

The main focus of the "multi-shot" is how it can deliver a consistent style across the entire clip, focusing on a significant boost for content creation. Despite giving different directions for the videos, Amazon's Nova Reel could create multiple shots with continuity, allowing users to give up to 4,000-character prompts that can lead to six-second shots for up to two minutes.

On the other hand, there is also the "Multishot Manual" mode through which users may share an image and prompt for a more accurate and precise control in its output. The new mode may create videos featuring 20 shots from a 1280x720p image and 512-maximum character prompt.

The AI Focus of Amazon

Amazon is among the different big tech companies that have put efforts and focus into building significant experiences for their products that integrate AI. Among the first ones that Amazon sought to improve with AI is its e-commerce platform, initially introducing the Rufus AI Assistant.

Of course, the company's AI voice assistant, Alexa, is also one that was touted for a generative AI upgrade. Earlier this year, the company officially introduced "Alexa+", which brings the significant upgrades for the AI assistant, making it capable of setting routines, analyzing documents, and controlling the smart home.

However, Alexa+ has been disappointing for users as it lacked the many promised features that Amazon introduced in its previous showcase, with its other capabilities set to arrive in the future.

Other Amazon products and services also offer generative AI, with Kindle books also featuring the technology, alongside the company's online streaming platforms.
