AI Mode is changing how internet users are getting search results, and even those on the waitlist are now getting access to the feature. In fact, AI Mode is also appearing in free accounts of those who have applied and are on the waitlist.
Google Search's AI Mode Expands Access to Free Users
A new report by 9to5Google shares that users of free accounts who applied and are part of the waitlist for Google Search's AI Mode feature are now getting access. Previously, the feature was made exclusive to paying customers only, particularly those who are part of the Google One AI Premium subscription that was made available at the start of this month.
This feature is under the Search Labs experiment, which offers new experiences for the company's search engine, with those who paid $19.99 per month being amongst the first to gain access.
Users who joined the waitlist and are given access to the AI Mode feature have reportedly received an email from Google saying, "You're Off the Waitlist!"

Waitlist No More: Webpage Results on Google Gone
For those who are no longer on the waitlist, the new Google Search experience will offer the AI Mode alongside the different options on the search engine, such as Images, Shopping, Videos, and more. Search's AI Mode is pretty much like AI Overviews, but instead of appearing over webpage results, users will only see generated content that summarizes the results of what they entered in the text field.
