The first and only headset wearable device from Apple, the Vision Pro, has long waited for its turn to get the Apple Intelligence upgrade. The good news is it will arrive soon, according to the latest reports.
There are many expectations that Apple Intelligence will bring great features to the Vision Pro headset once it arrives, as it will greatly help in providing assistance and helpful inputs to users.
Vision Pro Is Getting Apple Intelligence Soon Per Reports
According to the latest report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, there are plans from the Cupertino-based tech giant that the Vision Pro will soon get access to the company's most advanced technology, Apple Intelligence.
Since the generative AI rolled out last October, it has not made its way to the Vision Pro, which left many questioning why such a premium device is not getting this massive upgrade.
However, Gurman shared that sources believe that with the visionOS 2.4 update, the XR headset will receive Apple Intelligence alongside a new and dedicated app for viewing spatial media like 3D images, spatial videos, and panoramic content.
The present version of Apple Intelligence on iPhones, iPads, and Macs already features AI notification summaries, Writing Tools, Genmoji, Siri, Siri + ChatGPT integration, and other nifty AI features.

However, the first iteration of Apple Intelligence on Vision Pro will not receive all the available features introduced to other devices as there will be a gradual rollout for these experiences. The initial drop will only feature Writing Tools, Genmoji, and Image Playground, while other features will arrive in future visionOS updates.
The report revealed that visionOS 2.4 with Apple Intelligence is expected to drop this April, with developers getting early access via the beta test coming this week, says Gurman.
Vision Pro's Mixed Reality Capabilities
Since Apple introduced the Vision Pro two years ago and made it available in 2024, it has changed the wearable landscape by offering one of the most advanced and feature-packed unique mixed reality headsets.
The headset thrives in controlled environments, offering one of the most impressive qualities for passthrough wearables in the market, but its real-world use is still under development from the company.
The headset can transform a regular app that is compatible with the iPhone or iPad into a mixed-reality accessible experience as designed by Apple, with immersive streaming, video conferences, and more.
In the current version of the Vision Pro, there are still limitations that prevent users from getting the full, immersive experience that was promised by Apple, but considering that it is their first take, there is still a lot more to expect.
Despite its prominence, its sales disappointed as it is a fairly expensive device at $3,499.99, and the company has since stopped its production as stocks are piling up and the tech giant is failing to sell the remaining ones.
However, this upcoming addition of Apple Intelligence may change the device's status in the market, with generative AI being one of the biggest tech developments globally.
