There is an upcoming launch from Apple happening this month, and this came from a surprise announcement from none other than its CEO, Tim Cook, who recently took to social media to tease the new product.
It is rare for Apple's CEO to tease a new product launch so many are now speculating that this would be a special release from the tech company.
One of the biggest candidates for this release is the highly anticipated iPhone SE 4, the mid-range smartphone from Cupertino-based company that has been skipped over the past years.
Apple's Tim Cook Teases New Product Launch This Feb. 19
A rare post from Apple's Tim Cook via X has the tech industry excited. In his announcement, Cook only said that the "newest member of the family" is coming by next week for its official reveal, but he did not say something about what it has to offer, or which device will make its debut.
Alongside Cook's announcement, the Apple CEO also shared a short clip of the Apple logo in silver, with a luminescent shine glimmering over it, but did not provide any hint as to what product it will be.
In Cook's words, the reveal would focus only on "the newest member" of the Apple ecosystem, which means that it will only be a single product launch and would not include any other devices apart from this mystery one.
The iPhone SE 4 Is the Most Likely Candidate to Launch
That being said, there are speculations (via 9to5Mac) that this next product launch will feature the iPhone SE 4. While in most cases, the silver color and Apple logo are most associated with the Mac computer, it is believed that the iPhone SE 4 is the most likely candidate for a release.
However, there are speculations that it could also be the MacBook Air M4.
Rumors and Speculations on the iPhone SE 4
It has been a long three years since Apple last released an updated version of its iPhone SE, and the third generation did not deviate much from its old design, which took after the iPhone 8's body.
Because of this, the public has been clamoring for a design upgrade to modernize the budget smartphone lineup that would be similar to the iPhone X and beyond, particularly when it comes to the home button.
Over the past months, there have been reports about the iPhone SE 4's leaked dummy units, which confirmed that it will receive the iPhone 14 body, specifically with the almost-bezel-less design.
Another detail from the dummy phone shows it will feature a notch similar to the iPhone 14's base model, a USB-C charging and data port, a single rear camera lens, and possibly, a glass finish.
Other reports claimed that the iPhone SE 4 will be ready for Apple Intelligence as the company will equip it with the A18 chipset, which is the same as the iPhone 16 series, with a more capable performance than any other SE smartphones in the past.
