Over the past years, the iPhone mostly stayed the same, and the Cupertino tech giant only brought slight changes to its design and functionality, but that is about to change according to Apple CEO Tim Cook. Apple iPhone Roadmap Teased by Tim Cook, Coming Soon
Apple made a killing in the last quarter of 2024, with over $124 billion revenue seen in the period of the last three months making it their largest in history, but the company is not resting as they have a lot more in store for the world. This is because Apple's CEO teased the iPhone's roadmap and what it has to bring in the future, saying that massive innovations are making its way soon.
It was reported by 9to5Mac that Cook did not dive into specifics of what the roadmap holds for the public, but the CEO shared that he is feeling 'optimistic' about the iPhone's future and what the company plans for it.
The iPhone has remained stagnant over the years, and while yes, it features the latest chip, offering Apple Intelligence, improving its cameras, and sharing new experiences like the Capture button from the iPhone 15, it mostly stayed with its renowned design, layout, and more.

What Does iPhone Have to Offer in Future Releases?
While Tim Cook did not reveal anything from the iPhone roadmap in his teaser, his enthusiasm for its future are already being related to rumors behind the upcoming smartphones from Cupertino. The foldable iPhone has been long debated in the industry, particularly as it was revealed that the iPhone 17 will help in making it a reality, as it is ushering in the 'Air' variant that is crucial to the folding devices.
The Expected iPhones of 2025
The year 2025 has been expected to be a massive year for Apple, particularly as since the iPhone 14's release, there have been rumors that the next big change to the lineup will arrive three years later with the iPhone 17. First off, the entire lineup would feature a more advanced display that can deliver up to 120Hz refresh rate, alongside the A19 chip series that still focuses on Apple Intelligence, among many more features.
Not to mention the expected arrival of the iPhone 17 Air which is set to make way for massive innovations in the future, as while it would deliver the thinnest iPhone yet, it will also serve as the framework for its foldable aspirations.
On the other hand, there is also the iPhone SE 4 which is expected this year, and it would be among the firsts from Cupertino to debut for 2025, featuring the iPhone 14-based smartphone that drops the iPhone 8 chassis, given the A18 chip for Apple Intelligence access, and significant improvements to its camera and performance.
The question now only centers on when Apple would unveil these latest devices for the year, as in its history, the iPhone SE lineup typically launches around the Spring season or March, and the mainline iPhones are set for a Fall event at around September to October. That being said, Apple has a lot in store for fans this 2025 and for the years to come, with Tim Cook confirming this in his latest teaser of the roadmap.
