PS5 Pro Seemingly Leaked in PlayStation's 30th Anniversary Photo; Here's What it Looks Like

Is PlayStation's 30th anniversary photo showing off the new PS5 Pro?

Users and reports now claim that PlayStation unveiled the PS5 Pro's first official look in their latest image posted in the early celebration of its 30th-anniversary commemoration. This leak came from Sony's PlayStation itself, as it showed the many devices that are part of its legacy, with one device unaccounted for throughout the three decades.

That being said, Sony and PlayStation are, as usual, silent on this matter at hand, but if these indications turn out to be true, the PS5 Pro may be nearing.

The latest PlayStation blog post is celebrating its 30th anniversary early, but what eagle-eyed fans and gamers noticed is the new unconfirmed console which is right in the middle of its commemorative image.

Zooming into the anniversary photo, users would see different devices that represent Sony's renowned gaming experiences like consoles, controllers, accessories, and more. However, right in the middle and squeezed between the PlayStation logo and the number 3, there is a device that looks like the PlayStation 5 but has three stripes.

These stripes are what made fans and the gaming industry jump for joy, as many believe that this is the unconfirmed PlayStation 5 Pro.

What Makes the PS5 Pro Standout Against Other Consoles?

The image accounts for all the gaming consoles, peripherals, and accessories, from the original PlayStation down to the 2023 PlayStation 5, a.k.a. 'Slim.' However, Sony has never released a three-striped PS5 in the past.

First off, the 2020, a.k.a. the original PS5, has no stripes as it was shipped out with a solid plastic console cover. On the other hand, the 2023 PS5 Slim has one stripe as its console cover was split near the middle.

The three stripes are a massive indication that it is a new device, but despite this, Sony and PlayStation remain silent behind the PS5 Pro.

Latest PS5 Pro Rumors in the Industry

The original PS4 came out in 2013 and it was followed by 2016's back-to-back release of the PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro. That being said, speculators believe that it has only been delayed by a year, with the PS5 Pro on track for its upcoming release by 2024's last quarter.

Among the most significant rumors behind the PS5 Pro is its huge memory increase where PlayStation would give it as much as a 28 percent boost versus the original 2020 PS5. Moreover, it was revealed that PlayStation will improve its bandwidth from 448 GB/s to 576 GB/s.

To top it all off, the PS5 Pro will offer a 45 percent faster GPU rendering, improvements in ray tracing, and 4K resolution at 60FPS coming for the "Pro" version.

These massive promises remain rumors and speculation as there is still no official word behind the PS5 Pro from Sony or PlayStation. However, that may change in the coming weeks or months, as the teaser came from PlayStation's 30th anniversary release, with many believing that this is the first look at the upcoming gaming console.
