PS5 Pro Teased by Hideo Kojima? Hidden New Console Spotted as Director Plays Death Stranding 2

Fans now speculate on the hidden console from Kojima.

One of the most celebrated game directors in the world, Hideo Kojima, is now the source of speculation after fans think that he recently teased the much-awaited new console, the PlayStation 5 Pro. This was during a gaming session shared by the renowned video game designer of his production company's upcoming game, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.

However, there remains no confirmation about the PS5 Pro in this suspected teaser from Kojima, with the device still unconfirmed by Sony.

Ayako Terashima recently shared a photo of Hideo Kojima on X, holding a DualSense controller and posing to the camera while playing what was believed to be Death Stranding 2. However, the more intriguing aspect of the photo was pointed out by eagle-eyed online users claiming that the PS5 Pro was photographed, but is not exactly seen on the image.

Fans now believe that Kojima and his team have purposely hidden the console where Death Stranding 2 was running to avoid leaks, and this was because it was the unconfirmed PS5 Pro.

Many users immediately pointed out the device, with one saying that the covered-up device was a "PS5 Pro dev kit" shared with the game designer.

Why is Kojima Concealing a Gaming Device?

This raises the question of why Kojima was covering up the gaming device despite it being obvious that he is playing on a PS5 as he is holding a hooked-up DualSense controller.

Despite the massive speculations and rumors, Kojima and Terashima remained mum about the subject, and this remains a wild guess from the fans.

Sony's PS5 Pro Speculations, Rumors

It has been four years since the PlayStation 5 first released in the world, and many are already wondering about what are Sony's next steps for the console's progression, particularly after it released the 2023 PS5 dubbed as the 'Slim.'

The past releases from the company have been widely speculated to be a framework for the PS5, particularly as the PS4 was seven years in the market, and amidst it, Sony released new versions widely regarded as its mid-cycle variants. It is the same case with the PS5 according to rumors, calling it the PS5 Pro that would be available in late 2024.

The previous-gen console also saw the arrival of the PS4 Slim first before the PS4 Pro, something which Sony hasalready done with the PS5 despite not getting the namesake.

Future game releases are also being speculated to be meant for its PS5 Pro run and this includes the likes of Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto 6, one that would be best experienced in 4K at 60FPS. As many leakers point out to a Q4 2024 PS5 Pro, Hideo Kojima running his next game on a hidden console is a big hint, but take it with a grain of salt as none yet are confirmed.
