Researchers from the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) introduced their recent development known as 'DeepLens,' a new type of hardware that is set to change the mobile phone landscape. This latest development leverages the power of artificial intelligence that would improve much of what smartphone lenses have to offer.

According to Interesting Engineering, DeepLens pioneered a groundbreaking technique that KAUST researchers dubbed as "curriculum learning."

It will reduce the development time and costs of mobile phone cameras, all while enhancing the image quality whichtakes into account key imaging system parameters like aperture, resolution, and field-of-view (FOV).
