The next smartphone lineup from Apple has been seeing massive rumors, but now an actual prototype leaked for the iPhone 16 base variant series which offers a first look at the upcoming devices. There are new colors Apple offers in the new iPhone 16, and it is widely known that the entry-level device variant offers the bold and pop colors of the series.
Additionally, the leaked photos shared online were placed screen-side down, showing the rear camera array which alsosaw a revamp from Apple.
iPhone 16 Prototype Leak Shows Off New Colors

The latest leak from Sonny Dickson via X revealed the new look to expect on the iPhone 16, first centering on the colors to expect from the lineup in the upcoming release.
Dickson's photo shows prototypes of the iPhone 16, but it remains without a source so there are still speculations about its legitimacy. The dummy units show off the five colors to expect from the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus that will be reportedly available later this year, with Blue, Pink, Green, Black, and White finishes to choose from.
While there are similar colors to the iPhone 15 lineup, the shades are different from before, it has Powder Blue, lighter shades of Pink, pastel Yellow, pastel Green, and Black. For the next release, it would be on the darker side, with the addition of White, and Apple phasing out Yellow.
A New Rear Camera Array is Coming for the iPhone 16
Additionally, the image showed off the new rear camera array of the iPhone 16 lineup that would now be slimmer and stacked vertically, as opposed to the iPhone 15's diagonal setup. It was revealed that Apple will be adding the capabilities to shoot spatial images and video on the base variant, a feature only available on Pro versions.
Apple iPhone 16 and Its Early Rumors
Since early last year, leaks about the iPhone 16 began popping up, and this was when the iPhone 15 lineup was not yet released or unveiled to the public, showing the massive changes coming to this device. Initially, rumors claimed that the iPhone 16 would move away from its pill-shape notch known as Dynamic Island to bring under-display Face ID, only after two series of the iPhone.
Fast forward to a year later, the different leaks and speculations behind the iPhone 16 lineup claim that significant upgrades are coming from Apple, with its new chipset offering massive performance to the device. This would now focus on the A18 Bionic chipset which would be a massive leap from the iPhone 15's A16 Bionic, as well as improved cameras, and bigger RAM.
In this latest leak from a social media leaker, the focus is more on the iPhone 16's new looks, with a significant design change from the previous lineup, as well as an array of new colors to choose from. According to the latest prototypes, Apple will offer five colors when the iPhone 16 releases, with its rear cameras combining the best of the iPhone X and iPhone 11 onwards.
