Google's Pixel Wach 3 is reportedly on the horizon, with a significant decrease in bezel size offering an expected new build compared to the Pixel Watch 2.
The Pixel Watch 3 allegedly will have 4.5mm bezels, a substantial reduction from the 5.5mm bezels featured on the Pixel Watch 2. This modification should make the watch face look bigger and more immersive.
In addition to lower bezels, the Pixel Watch 3 will have a brighter display. The new display is supposed to be rated at 2,000 nits, which is twice as bright as the Pixel Watch 2's 1,000-nit display. This change should make the watch considerably easier to read in direct sunshine.
The Pixel Watch 3 is rumored to use the same Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 architecture and proprietary co-processor as the Pixel Watch 2. However, it will finally incorporate Ultra-Wideband (UWB) functionality, previously speculated for the Pixel Watch 2 but did not make it into the final product.
UWB might allow capabilities such as accurate device location and automobile unlocking via Digital automobile Key.
Pixel Watch 3 Variations
Furthermore, the Pixel Watch 3 is expected to be offered in 41mm and 45mm sizes, with both cellular and Wi-Fi options. The 41mm model will feature a 310mAh battery, and the 45mm model will have a bigger 420mAh battery.
Google is also releasing numerous new hues for the Pixel Watch 3. The 45mm model will be offered in Silver with a Rose Quartz band or Black with an Obs. The 41mm model will be presented in three colors: silver with a rose quartz band, black with an obsidian band, and gold with a hazel band.
Google Pixel 9's Expected Release
As the Google Pixel Watch 3 nears release, so does the Google Pixel 9 Series. Google is planning to revamp its product selection earlier than normal this year, shifting the yearly hardware presentation from October to mid-August.
This suggests that Google's next flagship Pixel smartphones will be released ahead of Apple's planned iPhone 16 series. Google sent media invites for a hardware event on August 13, informing guests about new gadgets.
According to rumors, Google's next Pixel 9 range will include three additional gadgets. These include the normal Pixel 9, the Pixel 9 Pro, and the new, bigger Pixel 9 Pro XL, which has a 6.2-inch display.
According to leaks, the Pixel 9 Pro will include a triple rear camera configuration, improving its photographic skills. Additionally, Google will likely release Android 15, showcasing Gemini AI advancements and other sophisticated features.
The Pixel Fold 2 tablet and new Pixel earphones are expected to be highlights of the event. These releases are expected to compete directly with Apple's offerings as Google expands its suite of networked gadgets.
Apple's product launch plan presumably motivated Google's choice to accelerate hardware upgrades. Apple is likely to unveil the iPhone 16 and Apple Watch Series 9 in September, along with iOS 18 and Apple Intelligence.
By releasing its gadgets sooner, Google hopes to garner market attention and convince users before Apple's new goods hit the market.
