In a groundbreaking event, the WAICA and Fanvue hosted the world's inaugural AI beauty pageant, in which AI-generated contestants competed for the title of Miss AI.

Participants were evaluated on their visual representation and engagement metrics, marking a significant milestone in integrating AI into cultural events and entertainment.

WAICA, an organization focused on celebrating global AI creators, evaluated Miss AI pageant contestants based on their beauty, technical prowess, and influence to compete for the coveted Miss AI crown.

According to People, contestants were assessed on traditional pageant criteria like appearance, composure, and proficiency in utilizing AI technologies. Additionally, judges factored in contestants' social media presence, including their audience growth rate and engagement with followers.

WAICA highlighted that the contest marked a significant milestone, launching nearly two centuries after the world's inaugural live beauty pageant in the 1880s.

The Miss AI judging panel featured prominent AI creators Aitana Lopez and Emily Pellegrini, renowned for their digital personas and substantial online followings, including lucrative brand partnerships.

Pageantry historian Sally Ann Fawcett and marketing expert Andrew Bloch joined them. The judges awarded prizes totaling more than $20,000 to the first, second, and third-place winners. The results were revealed on May 10, followed by an online awards ceremony later in the month.

Fanvue Co-Founder Will Monanage had expressed enthusiasm about the creator economy's rapid growth. He highlighted their platform's role in supporting AI creators, enabling them to expand their audiences and monetize their content effectively.

Monanage had emphasized its pride in partnering with the Fanvue World AI Creator Awards as the inaugural sponsor. He underscored the awards' focus on recognizing talent and technology, aiming to elevate industry standards.

Monanage had seen Miss AI as the first of many awards in this program, sharing the vision for the WAICA to become a premier event in the AI creator community, similar to the Oscars.
