There are now leaked schematics of the new Apple Watch Series 10, the alleged company's next smartwatch, which will feature the largest display in the device's history since 2014. This wearable is expected to launch this year alongside the iPhone 16, following last year's Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2.
This latest leak focuses more on the renowned Apple Watch design, which it has followed for around a decade, but not yet the touted 10th-anniversary special release.
Apple Watch Series 10 Schematics Suggests Largest Display is Coming
The recent revelations from 91mobiles' schematics suggest that Apple Watch will focus on a Series 10 soon, bringing the largest display ever that will trump its entire lineup's size. To be more precise, the Series 10 will feature a full 2-inch display, and it is a bigger device compared to the previously-largest Apple Watch, the Series 9 and Ultra 2.
The Series 9 offered users 1.7 inches of display, while the Ultra 2 is currently the largest at 1.93 inches. The next Series 10 will offer a slightly bigger adjustment for the change.
However, it would still feature the same band design for the Series 10, which needs to be slid into the crevice and locked into place.
Apple Watch Series 10 Allegedly for 2024, X for Next Year
The Apple Watch Series 10 is allegedly expected for 2024, joining the upcoming iPhone 16 lineup, which is speculated for its regular event and unveiling this September. This leaves the widely rumored Apple Watch X, which will offer a more significant revamp to the wearable, centering on its new bands that can magnetically attach, new sensors, features, and more.
Apple Watch's Developments and X Speculations
There are differing speculations and rumors behind the Apple Watch's next release, particularly as it celebrates its 10th year since it was announced, but not its actual release date. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously shared that Cupertino would bring the much-awaited Apple Watch X this year, with 2025 not having many changes compared to this.
However, it was later revealed that Kuo corroborated the story behind the Apple Watch X coming in 2025. This year, Apple will focus on Series 10 to continue developing the renowned wearable. The Apple Watch X is highly regarded as the special anniversary edition, which marks the 10th year since its first introduction, with the smartwatch seeing a massive revamp of the lineup.
With new bands, a newly designed motherboard called RCC, improved batteries, and more, the Apple Watch X will surely be a game changer if Apple delivers on these features. However, it will first focus on the Apple Watch Series 10 soon, which will feature the largest display on the wearable alongside the regular bands from past releases, allegedly joining the iPhone 16.
