Apple Watch X to Bring Massive Changes for 10th Anniversary; What to Expect?

Apple Watch is turning 10, and a new watch is coming with the 'X' name.

Last year, the world got the Series 9, and the next one is expected to be the Apple Watch X, with the Roman numeral corresponding to the number 10, as the company's tenth mainline release of the wearable. This will also mark the 10th anniversary since Apple first debuted the Apple Watch in 2015, about the actual shipment year of the wearable.

However, the Apple Watch's true unveiling was in 2014, and this year is its true 10th year since it was announced, but it is not expected to have the Apple Watch X anytime in 2024.

Apple Watch X to Bring Massive Changes for 10th Anniversary

It has been ten years since Apple first introduced the Apple Watch to the world. It is one of its most successful devices under Tim Cook's patronage as CEO, offering a health, fitness, and lifestyle tracker for all. It is rumored to have a massive revamp for its upcoming 10th anniversary, with many unofficially dubbing it the Apple Watch X.

According to CNET, this name parallels the iPhone's first-decade celebration in the market, and it will soon deliver significant changes and features.

Among the expected features is a new look for the wearable with a thinner design and magnetic bands that will replace the slide-on straps, which mainly rely on locks.

More health features for tracking are also expected with the upcoming wearable.

What to Expect from Apple Watch X?

The Apple Watch X will deliver a blood-pressure monitoring system, a new display, improved SOS for swimmers, sweat measurement, and more.

Additionally, it is still expected to use the MagSafe for charging, and it will ship by 2025.

Apple Watch X: Revamp Coming

Different analysts, insiders, leakers, and rumor-mongers have released various information about the Apple Watch X and what the world should expect from its upcoming major revamp. One of the touted new features from Insider, The Elec, is Apple Watch X's new display technology, which would use LTPO OLED, one that offers better power management and saving.

Like the iPhone X (read as ten), it is speculated that it will offer a massive revamp for the lineup in this release, and it is previously known that from the iPhone 7 and 8, Apple removed the Home Button, offered new bezel designs, camera, and more for the anniversary edition of the smartphone.

Ming-Chi Kuo previously predicted that the Apple Watch X would get an RCC motherboard, which would help make it thinner but also allow for larger batteries and the addition of other components.

It is unknown if the Apple Watch will focus more on the design of the classic Apple Watch or the Ultra versions for the 10th-anniversary edition, but it is expected that massive things will come to celebrate this iconic wearable from Cupertino.
