We now know that Samsung is planning to officially unveil the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S Edge on March 1. A new report claims to reveal the price of both smartphones.
All eyes will be on Samsung when the company kicks off Mobile World Congress with its own scheduled event. The company is widely expected to unveil its next flagship Galaxy S6 and curved display Galaxy S Edge, which has also been referred to as the Galaxy S6 Edge.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S Edge will reportedly follow the same design philosophy as the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge by including very similar specs, with the S Edge featuring a unique curved display like the Note Edge.
A new report claims to reveal the price details of both the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S Edge. The prices of the smartphones reportedly come from a trusted source and here's a breakdown of what the prices for each model will be in terms of euros. The euro is currently 87 cents to the U.S. dollar, making the S Edge 128 GB model weigh in at a hefty $1,189.57 U.S. dollars under these figures.
- Samsung Galaxy S6 32 GB: 749 euros
- Samsung Galaxy S6 64 GB: 849 euros
- Samsung Galaxy S6 128 GB: 949 euros
- Samsung Galaxy S Edge 32 GB: 849 euros
- Samsung Galaxy S Edge 64 GB: 949 euros
- Samsung Galaxy S Edge 128 GB: 1049 euros
If the prices are correct, it appears that Samsung is targeting the Galaxy S6's pricing to be on par with Apple's iPhone 6 and the Galaxy S Edge will be more expensive because of its curved display screen. It will be priced to compete with the iPhone 6 Plus.
As always, it's best to take reports of unannounced devices with a huge grain of salt for now. Once we hear any new information on the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S Edge, we'll be sure to pass it on.
