Elon Musk is set to Meet Israeli President, Isaac Herzog, to Discuss Combatting Antisemitism

This visit aims to go against Jewish hate online.

While Elon Musk was recently under fire in the social media world because of his alleged antisemitism posts, he is now set to meet Israeli President Isaac Herzog, where they will discuss the same matter. The goal is to eliminate and combat antisemitism and anti-Jewish hate online, and he will be part of these discussions alongside Israelis who have families held hostage in Gaza by Hamas.

A report by Reuters shared an announcement from the Israeli President's office that has invited Elon Musk to meet with His Excellency, Israel Herzog alongside Israeli families whose relatives are held hostage in Gaza by Hamas. Musk will fly to Israel on Monday, November 27, to join the President for their meeting to address the anti-Jewish hate present now online.

More particularly, it aims to tackle the many ways to combat and fight against antisemitism online, with X, along with other social media platforms, seeing an increased rate.

This comes after many civil rights groups and individuals condemned Musk for flaming the hate against the Jews, found in his recent posts and comments regarding the issue.

The Fight Against Antisemitism Online Invites Elon Musk

While this seems ironic in Musk's case, he has claimed over and over again that he is not antisemitic, and according to reports, the X owner is also set to meet Benjamin Netanhayu in the coming week. Netanyahu is known as Israel's Prime Minister, and the pair were both seen in September discussing antisemitism on X.

Herzog, Netanyahu, and Musk will lead the talks against fighting antisemitism online, and it remains unknown what changes would take place in X in doing so.

Elon Musk and Antisemitism Controversy

Almost two weeks ago, the internet was divided over at X because of the alleged antisemitism claims of Elon, where he said that the Jewish community exhibits the "exact kind" of hatred against the white community. Some people have the same sentiments as Musk and say that the executive did not exhibit any form of anti-Jew hate, but some condemn his words.

With this, many companies have pulled out their ads on X, and some temporarily suspended it after the comments, showing their distaste for what the tech CEO showed online. The likes of IBM, Disney, Apple, Warner Bros., CNN, and more confirmed their advertising pullout on X, with the company also seeing a statement from the White House which denounces his actions.

This controversy is not yet over, as the effects of these temporary suspensions will gravely affect X's revenue, particularly as ads are one of its top sources of income at present. However, there may be a redemption for Musk's previous actions, and this is because of Israel's President and their nation's invitation for Musk to join the meeting, addressing the fight against antisemitism online.
