Apple Vision Pro Delay? Insider Claims Not Yet Ready for January, to Launch Later

The expected release date may not be met for Vision Pro.

In what could have been less than two months of wait for the Apple Vision Pro, there is an expected delay that would plague its upcoming release says a renowned insider, further pushing the wearable to later next year. The Vision Pro was slated for a January release date claimed Apple last WWDC 2023, but this latest update says preorder users and those anticipating it would have to wait longer.

The upcoming Apple mixed-reality headset is much awaited for the capabilities it will deliver, especially with its never-before-seen AR/VR experience that it aims to bring.

The latest Power On Newsletter via Bloomberg's Mark Gurman released a new report on the expectations for the upcoming Apple Vision Pro, with the famed insider saying that it would see a delay for its release.

While Apple promised the world that the Vision Pro is expected by January 2024, the reality would not be the same for preorders and those wanting to purchase the device early next year.

In Gurman's words, the Vision Pro is still expected to arrive early next year, but it will fall in the last month of the first quarter by March.

Apple would first release the Vision Pro to the United States before any other regions, and it would only be available via a direct sale from the company.

Expect Vision Pro to Launch Later Next Year

As noted by Gurman, the software is ready for what Apple claimed its release would be by January, but the device itself would see it launch later after two months. The reason behind this delay was not revealed by Gurman, but the insider claimed that fans and enthusiasts may expect a media event that would mark the official arrival of the wearable, centering on a Spring release.

Apple's Vision Pro: What to Expect?

WWDC 2023 was a massive experience for all Apple fans, as not only did it usher in new operating systems and software to the company's devices, but also the devices to expect from them. One of the most anticipated device was the mixed-reality headset which Apple revealed to be the Vision Pro, offering massive specs that promises to deliver an immersive experience for its user.

This "spatial computer" of a device offers an experience, and not only delivers games or mixed reality for its future users, centering on a three-dimensional experience with its ultra-high definition display running the visionOS.

However, this comes with a few caveats, first off, Cupertino offers the device for a sky-rocketing price of $3,499.99, and as expected, will be an exclusive device for its tech.

Nevertheless, despite the many companies promising the experience like Meta and its Quest 3, the Vision Pro remains a significant device that people await from Apple, one that is coming next year. There are massive factors surrounding the release of the Vision Pro, Apple's first take on the mixed reality wearable, one that already faces a dark road ahead for possible delays says Gurman.
