Telegram, the widely used messaging app, is gearing up to make its mark on Apple Vision Pro with an upcoming visionOS app, as revealed in an enticing teaser shared by Telegram CEO Pavel Durov.
According to 9to5Mac, the new app will provide a unique Telegram experience tailored to the Cupertino firm's latest hardware.
Seamless Integration with Apple Vision Pro
Earlier, Durov dropped the teaser images for the visionOS app designed for Apple Vision Pro users. The app adheres to the design guidelines of visionOS, creating a translucent and immersive interface for users on Vision Pro.
Unlike the traditional tab bar, Telegram for visionOS adopts a user-friendly sidebar, providing swift access to contacts, calls, chats, and settings. This design choice enhances user experience and aligns with the intuitive navigation expected on the Apple Vision Pro platform.
Furthermore, users can anticipate enjoying all the familiar features available on Telegram for iOS, ranging from media sharing to audio messages and the recently introduced Stories.
The visionOS app aims to provide a feature-rich environment, ensuring users have a comprehensive messaging experience on Apple Vision Pro.

Immersive Multimedia Experience
If there's anything special about visionOS, then it's definitely the AR (Augmented Reality) side of things. To be clear, the animated AR stickers are coming, making Telegram free from being traditional compared to the other apps.
There's also a video player that will provide you with an enhanced multimedia experience. This signals that Telegram is ready to take charge in rolling out new AI-focused features in the next months.
Future Launch Expectations
While specific details about the app are currently limited, the anticipated launch aligns with the release of Apple Vision Pro in the US in early 2024. This timeframe allows Telegram to fine-tune and optimize the visionOS app, ensuring a polished and robust integration with Apple's cutting-edge hardware.
visionOS SDK for Developers
Developers keen on exploring the potential of visionOS for their apps can utilize the visionOS SDK, enabling them to build applications specifically tailored for Vision Pro.
Apple has already extended invitations to select developers to engage with the new hardware before its official launch.
As Telegram pioneers its visionOS app for Apple Vision Pro, users can look forward to a customized messaging experience that maximizes the unique features of this innovative device.
Telegram Blocks Hamas-Linked Channels
In late October, Telegram reportedly blocked several channels that were connected to the Palestine-based terrorist group Hamas.
According to NPR, the platform discovered that many accounts were used to communicate with Hamas members. The channels served as the group's outlet to relay some information between its networks.
What forced Telegram to do that was the letter sent by Zachor Legal Institute, a pro-Israel organization. According to the document, it was urging Apple and Telegram to remove the channels associated with Hamas.
