Electric scooter firm Silence, based in Barcelona, stands out with its innovative approach to high-performance models, featuring distinctive roll-along removable batteries.
Now, in a strategic move to elevate their scooters to new heights, the company has partnered with IRP Systems, a prominent electric powertrain manufacturer to deliver new upgrades for the vehicles.
Unveiling the Power-Packed Collaboration
Electric scooters pushing highway speeds face a common challenge - the need for substantial batteries to maintain optimal range. Weight becomes a limiting factor, especially since riders often remove batteries for indoor charging.
Silence has redefined this paradigm with batteries exceeding 5 kWh, surpassing the industry norm of 1.5 to 2 kWh. According to Electrek's report, the secret lies in a groundbreaking design featuring wheels that enable effortless rolling, eliminating the need to lift the battery's weight.
Silence's batteries incorporate a unique latch mechanism, akin to an ambulance gurney, allowing the wheels to drop down effortlessly. This ingenuity ensures a seamless experience for riders, revolutionizing the process of battery removal and indoor charging.
With that, its distinctive design sets Silence apart in the competitive electric scooter landscape.
