A new short ad arrived for Apple to see, and it is Samsung giving the message regarding the communication divide of not adopting the RCS technology to their smartphones. In the ad, it shows "Romeo" and "Juliet" talking to each other through text, as the lady is using an iPhone that limits their conversation to text messages only, while the gentleman uses Samsung's Messages that support RCS.
The debate on Apple adopting the RCS is still massive, with the company still holding out against the technology, favoring its iMessage experience that is exclusive to Cupertino's tech.
Samsung Brings a New Ad About RCS
Samsung released a new video that talks about "green bubble and blue bubble," and this ad shows two lovers debating about Juliet's parents wanting to keep them apart. Romeo then goes on to say "What did green ever do to them? We're bubbles too," which somewhat took a turn in their conversation, as it seemed like it was a relationship problem.
What Samsung is referring to is the rich communication services (RCS), a technology that companies like Samsung, Google, and more feature support, centering on the universal messaging experience.
This is also what Apple lacks, something that it is not adopting for the iPhones in the present, with the company still sticking out for iMessage.

Apple Shade: Google and Samsung
Earlier this September, Google released a video of the "iPager," as part of its GetTheMessage campaign, talking about how outdated Apple's technology is when it comes to messaging. Apple indeed holds out for text messages, and for its instant messaging technology, it has the iMessage that is exclusive to its tech.
Samsung and Google's pressure against Apple also shades Cupertino for its choice of technology, with a divide among the public.
The RCS Campaign for Apple
Among those pushing for the universality of technology in the world is the European Union (EU), and the government body has passed its previous law for a universal messaging system for all. This centers on the RCS, with Apple also a part of this, but the company is unfazed by the changes and still sticks with its iMessage experience for the smartphone.
Google has campaigned for RCS for a long time now, and it is the instant messaging system that is widely available on its Pixel devices, also offering Android's support for the tech. It was also one to pressure Apple into adopting RCS, with many materials posted online that plead to Apple regarding making the change, with Cupertino having no responses.
Tim Cook has once addressed the green bubble, blue bubble debacle, and he said that the solution to this appearing is for the other end of the conversation to switch to iPhones. Now, Samsung has launched a new ad that talks about the communication divide between lovers where one uses the iPhone, and the other a Galaxy with RCS, throwing shade at Apple's tech.
