Instead, the Apple CEO jokingly said that if consumers want to remove the green bubbles, all they need to do is purchase an iPhone.

The billionaire really seems to be throwing shade at Android devices.

According to The Verge's latest report, Cook shared his opinion when Vox Media's LiQuant Hunt asked him a valid question.

"Buy your mom an iPhone," said the tech CEO as a response when Hunt said that his mother can't see the videos he sends.

As of writing, iPhone text messages are still incompatible with the Android text messaging system (this goes the other way around).

Because of this problem, Google previously asked Apple to use the RCS text messaging technology.

But, based on the remarks made by Cook, it seems like Apple still has no plan to accept the Rich Communications Service system.

What is the Green Bubbles Issue?

If you are an iPhone owner, you are definitely familiar with the green bubbles issue.

This text messaging color is the one used by Apple to identify if another device sends a text message.

But, it may also indicate that another iOS device sent the message while its iMessage was deactivated.

One of the major issues of this identifier is that videos sent by an Android to an iPhone device become low-quality content.

Previously, the AppleCare+ coverage upgrade was launched, allowing consumers to have unlimited repairs for accidental damage.

On the other hand, Apple decided to upgrade the AirPods Pro with a new H2 chip, which improves the audio quality.
