An upcoming expansion of features for X was recently showcased by its owner, Elon Musk, as an anonymous account posted a video of him game streaming Diablo 4 via an anonymous verified account. Here, the tech CEO confirmed that this is indeed coming as he replied to this via his official account, saying that this feature is under testing.
Moreover, this game streaming feature will be joined by an online live shopping feature coming to X, particularly with its recent collaboration with a Hollywood socialite.
Elon Musk: X to Feature Game Streaming, Coming Soon
An anonymous verified account called @cyb3rgam3r420 posted a video of a game stream natively launched on X, with Elon Musk seen in the lower right corner of the video playing. Musk's fondness of RPG titles was highlighted in the stream as he was seen playing Blizzard's latest Diablo IV.
The account @cyb3gam3r420 only has one post, and it was the game stream that was uploaded directly on the platform. Should this feature continue, it would rival the likes of Facebook Gaming, Twitch, and YouTube which also have this available.
According to Musk's official account, he and X are "testing game streaming" on the platform, but did not reveal when would this feature be available for the world to experience.
X's Engineering head of Media, Mark Kalman, also shared the steps on how to stream on the platform.

X's Live Shopping In Collaboration with Paris Hilton
However, there is another feature coming to X soon, and it was announced via a collaboration with Paris Hilton, centering on live shopping that will be available in the future. Hilton claimed that new experiences would arrive on video, live video, live shopping, and Spaces, but like game streaming, it did not reveal its availability.
Both features are expected to be accessible via X Premium, the paid subscription tier of the company.
The New and Upcoming Features of X
The many new features of X are all centering on its paid subscription called X Premium, and it aims to have more people paying for as much as $8 to $11 per month to get these additional experiences. One feature included here is the famed blue check verification, but there is also the latest "Privacy Boost" which hides the "Likes" tab of its subscribed user.
In what X has to offer, the company wants to make it the platform where multimedia experiences are possible, particularly as Premium users can upload up to 8GB of videos here. At one point, Musk hit up Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter, Taylor Swift to upload her concert videos and music on the platform, as she announced her new 1989 (Taylor's Version) album.
Other notable features include the monetization for creators where their tweets and threads will have ads, and their share would go to them if opting for this program. Now, X is ushering in a new era for the platform previously known as Twitter, in its bid to be the "everything app," with Musk flaunting the game streaming capabilities and live shopping that are coming soon.
