The renowned virtual reality platform that centers on a social experience is now available on the web and mobile, with Meta expanding Horizon Worlds' reach to more users. The company promised this experience more than a year ago, saying that the VR social app is coming to more users soon, even without the previous requirement of owning a Quest wearable.
Meta's Horizon Worlds is Now Available on Web and Mobile
Meta announced the latest development on Horizon Worlds, with the previously VR-exclusive social app now heading to the mobile and web platforms that offer more to its users. The social app's expansion beyond VR is available now, with the company claiming that it is set to roll out more worlds in the coming months to expand more of the experience.
According to Meta, " The metaverse should be available to everyone-no matter what device they're on."
Users are getting a treat to go into the virtual world with this expansion, no longer requiring a VR headset for the experience. "And while Quest headsets are the most immersive way to access the metaverse, we believe there should be multiple entry points," the company added.

Is There a Way to Join the Early Access?
For now, Meta centers on their Super Rumble world from the Horizon Worlds for this experience on the web, as part of its early access for what it is trying to build.
Users only need to go to Horizon Worlds' website on any browser and request access to join. After getting access, the Horizon Worlds' first offer is available to experience.
For the mobile, Android is the first to receive the experience via the Super Rumble app, with Meta promising the iOS version coming soon.
Meta Horizon Worlds
The gateway to the metaverse from Meta has been open for public access since December 2021, with Horizon Worlds offering a unique experience in connecting friends, families, and strangers on an online virtual experience. It is not a game, but a social platform, where the world can come in and band together right on their Quest headsets which was the only channel before.
Apart from connecting the world via the social VR platform's features, Meta also centered on keeping the Horizon Worlds safe from the many forms of online harassment. One of the most unique features here is the Voice Mode controls where they can mask their identity or go on mute to avoid any issues online, as well as the Safety Bubbles to avoid getting groped here.
For almost two years, Meta's Horizon Worlds has operated as a platform that allows people to connect and experience a new place to be who they want to be, all under the virtual reality headset. Now, this VR social app is making its way to the web and mobile platforms for more to access, with the early access ready to take in new users joining.
