A professional "Street Fighter 6" player had a slip-up when they entered a tournament but forgot to turn off a critical mod. The mod resulted in Chun-Li not wearing anything that was seen live as the player forgot to remove it.
Twitch Tournament Saw Chun-Li Without Clothes Due to Player Forgetting to Turn Off Character Mod
According to Gaming Bible, the tournament was hosted on Twitch and it had to come to a stop after the noticeable Chun-Li character didn't have any clothes. This was for a Street Fighter 6 Tournament which aimed to see the best players fight each other live online.
Ever since the game was released just recently, Street Fighter 6 has been making waves both for casual and hardcore fans of fighting games. Gaming Bible noted that upon its release, they gave the title a rating of 9/10.
With its popularity, like most games, its classic characters like Chun-Li became targets of modifications as some players wanted a more personal experience. Although some people might consider this to be okay in private, this wasn't the case for the incident, which was broadcast live.
Chun-Li Remains One of the Most Popular Characters on Street Fighter
As described on Street Fighter, Chun-Li was a reported former high-kicking ICPO agent who looks after Li-Fen. She is also a victim of the Black Moon incident and with sundered Shadaloo, she reportedly runs kung fu classes.
The listing describes Chun-Li as becoming what was described as a well-loved member of the local community. Her height was described as being 5/7 while she hates crime and indecisiveness and enjoys her days off as well as going shopping with none other than Li-Fen.
The mod reportedly stripped Chun-Li from the regular ceremonial Chinese dress which resulted in her not having any clothes on. A player that had this mod activated accidentally forgot to turn it off during a live Twitch tournament.
The Tournament was Hosted by Corner2Corner
The tournament was reportedly hosted by Corner2Corner, which is known as a regular seasonal tournament that live streams on Twitch. The particular incident happened during a match with Lensta against Packz, where the first round went underway but was quickly cut after Chun-Li was shown without clothes.
The content then immediately shifted from the match to a bracket screen while the commentators struggled to keep composure regarding what had happened. The commentators, however, didn't shy away from what they saw even commenting on what they described as a "Chun-Li costume," calling it "interesting."
The Channel is at Risk of Being Taken Down Since It Violated Twitch's Strict Community Guidelines
The incident could pose serious risks for the channel since it violates Twitch's strict community guidelines. It was noted that the channel could be taken down depending on the decision of the streaming platform.
As of press time, it was noted that Corner2Corner was able to remain active and that the channel could have been able to escape being delisted.
