Entrepreneurship can be one of the hardest roads to take. Unlike the typical 9-5 job, there's no real end to the work. The more you put into your passion, the more you're able to get out of it. Entrepreneurship requires execution, imagination, and an incredible resilience to try and fail over and over again. There are a million factors that can discourage you from your path, but a true entrepreneur is willing to push past the doubt to achieve their goals.

From The Street To The Game

Anyone looking for inspiration to become an entrepreneur need look no farther than Wilson Huang. After coming to America at the age of 14, Wilson spent his four years of high school living with a Puerto Rican host family in New Jersey. While most kids were home playing video games with friends, Wilson and his friends were exploring and testing different business ideas. They built mobile apps, developed websites, produced indie movies, and even did private catering gigs.

"Those experiences and skills were essential for the later startup I helped build," says Huang. But as a teenager, his self-starting research and experiments yielded their own immediate results. After researching Brain-Computer Interfaces and its impact on healthcare, Wilson built an EEG-augmented brain activity monitoring system aimed at eliminating the most prominent cause of road accidents: highway hypnosis.

"By monitoring the shift of the driver's brainwave frequency and integrating machine learning into our system, we can yield an impressive 90% accuracy in real-time drowsiness detection," says Huang. "The system will then make the steering wheel beep, sound, or vibrate, depending on the user's preference, thus, waking the driver up and urging him/her to take action."

Wilson's research attracted an investment by Muse, an electroencephalography headband company. They agreed to sponsor Wilson by providing free headbands and access to their developer teams. His project eventually went on to win first place in an IoT hackathon at Microsoft.

All of this Wilson accomplished before college. He cross-enrolled in Babson College and the University of Pennsylvania, where he pursued legal study and neuroscience. During his time studying at both colleges, Wilson was put in touch with the company that would soon become his newest venture.

ATMOSIScience

ATMOSIScience was founded by Dr. Sandra in March, 2020. Dr. Sandra, the CEO, also leads the R&D and is the foundation of the company. With an extensive background in chemistry and material science (and over 20 years of industry experience), Dr. Sandra founded the company to create the ideal humidity level for cigars and cannabis. She was looking for business connections to help build the developing company, and that was when her financial advisor suggested she look at Babson College.

"At that time, one of my professors from Babson knew my previous startup experience, so the professor introduced me to Dr. Sandra's team," says Huang. While Dr. Sandra leads the R&D team, Wilson is responsible for bringing ATMOSIScience's innovations from the lab to the world. By executing the business go-to-market strategy, Wilson and his team are helping ATMOSIScience revolutionize the humidity control industry.

"We position ourselves as the world's leading humidity management service provider, providing humidity solutions, not just various humidity control products. Humidity management is a systematic problem. There are no competitors that can provide humidity management solutions for various micro-environments."

From his high school explorations to his current role in ATMOSIScience, Wilson Huang is proving that success is available to those who are willing to do what it takes to get it. If his past is any indicator of what's to come, Wilson is sure to keep on challenging the status quo as an entrepreneur.
