The new Magi is the talk of the town for Google's new entry for its AI-powered search engine, but that is not the only development of the company as it has more projects coming. As per reports in the industry, Google is also looking to beef up its Chrome browser with new artificial intelligence-powered creations with "GIFI" and "Searchalong," to start.
AI is now the center of many Big Tech companies to bring better features and capabilities that would streamline the experience for all internet browsing, as made popular by Microsoft and OpenAI.
Google Chrome to Update AI Features with 'GIFI,' 'Searchalong,' and MORE
The New York Times report centers on two new additional tools to help power Google's quest to deliver generative AI for the Chrome browser, centering on GIFI and Searchalong. However, that is not all there is to it, as these two are only the beginning of what Google aims to open for its famed internet browser, with more coming in the future.
GIFI and Searchalong are not yet here, but the report provides context as to what they are and what they bring. The first, GIFI, is a text-to-image generator that would bring results via Google Images, instead of the usually available ones from the web.
On the other hand, Searchalong will be a built-in AI chatbot within Chrome to answer questions and help users with their internet searches.

Chrome's AI Updates Coming Soon Alongside the New 'Magi'
There are already previous developments from Google centering on its AI push, with Imagen and Parti, under its research team's creation, to help deliver a text-to-image technology for users.
However, it does not stop there, as the company also looks into developing it for Chrome, with two new names for its AI push to begin its significant presence in the web browser app. Soon, GIFI, Searchalong, and Magi will spearhead Google's AI integration, with more to come as per reports.
Google and its AI Developments Now
Google Bard was introduced earlier this year to bring a generative AI chatbot to the internet company's browser to bring an assistant for all their browsing needs. However, this was quickly followed by negative reviews from its users, particularly with the incorrect answer it gave about the James Webb Space Telescope being the first to photograph exoplanets in history.
Bard and Bing were among the firsts from Big Tech to deliver a new generative AI chatbot experience to their browsers, with the competition brewing from Microsoft and Google in this age.
Still, Microsoft took off with OpenAI's tech, now powering its Office suite and other features with GPT-4, the latest large language model with the most advanced features.
With the many developments in the tech industry, Google is looking to catch up, centering on the latest AI creations of the company as per reports. Magi is the first to be revealed by the insiders, but it is not alone in Google's quest to expand its AI projects for the world, with GIFI and Searchalong to help Chrome boost its generative machine-learning feats in the future.
