The new AI chatbot from Google is seeing an upgrade now, with Bard having enhanced capabilities that allow it to give better answers regarding mathematics and logic questions, as prompted by users. This was announced by a Google employee, saying that the team is constantly adding new features and upgrading Bard to bring better experiences for users.
It is only a matter of time before Google brings updates to Bard, especially as there have been many reports of the AI chatbot's flaws, centering on wrong answers generated to basic questions asked.
Google Bard Enhanced Capabilities: Better Math, Logic Answers
According to a Twitter thread by Google AI employee, Jack Krawczyk, the Bard chatbot is now bringing enhanced capabilities to better answer questions and prompts by users.
This emphasizes answering queries about math and logic questions as entered by users, with the latest advances to its language model, PaLM.
Krawczyk claimed that Bard will better answer multi-step word and math questions, giving users more efficiency with the AI chatbot, to deliver next-level capabilities to suit their needs. Bard is continuously upgrading and aims to push enhancements more to the AI, with many new things incorporated with it weekly, claims the Google employee.

However, Bard has been notorious in the past weeks, as several users posted screenshots of their experience with the chatbot, receiving wrong answers to their prompts.
One of the most notable is the simple math question of 1+2. Here, the user incorporated a logic question with it, by adding a fact claiming 1+1= 2, then asking 1+2, to which Bard answered 4. Bard then continues to claim that "1+1=2" is a false statement, despite the user correcting it.
Moreover, when asked about the calendar months, also another logical question, Bard came up with a new month called "Maruary," after February.
Google Bard: Capabilities and Technology
Google announced the arrival of Bard last early February and it was a significant showcase from the company which shows its capabilities in developing advanced AI systems, much less a language model. It began the massive AI race in the industry, to which Microsoft succeeded shortly after, also announcing its latest Bing with ChatGPT.
However, there was one significant event that changed the public's perception of Google Bard, and this is the time when it gave the wrong answer to a question about the James Webb Space Telescope. The chatbot answered that JWST was the first telescope to capture an exoplanet, but it is not, as it was taken by the Very Large Telescope Array in Chile.
Since then, there have been significant questions about Bard's capabilities, despite being dubbed as the ''ChatGPT Killer.''
A Google employee under the AI department recently announced that the company has made its way into enhancing Bard's capabilities to better answer questions and prompts by users. The only remaining question now is if it is capable enough to handle the most complex of questions, down to the simplest prompts by users, and still give the correct answer.
